チェコのプラレール運転会、2022年 || Czech Plarail Expo 2022

A little bit of background: Zwilling is a former Czech expo administrator from 2015 to 2017, and a participant until 2019 where the Czech expo unexpectedly ended due to the lack of interest from the audience. The venue of the Czech expo (the old school building in Svebohov) was destroyed, and the land was sold.

I was invited to have lunch with the original Czech expo admins to discuss and plan the next course of events. The participant manager told me that it was impossible to reinvite the former audience since there are no advertisements and the general interest of Plarail was fallen greatly over the last 3 years since the Czech expo was last held.

Zwilling taking orders in one of the Czech expo admin's house, and I'm wearing a silver sweater. She is a really good chef too.

Conclusion of the meeting: A privately held Czech expo in Zwilling's house using only 70s Plarail. Since there are no external participants, antique Plarail (except the Chinese Plarail) which were banned in the previous expos were finally allowed. Other Czech expo admins said that they are not able to participate because it is a working weekday for them. Only atttta and Zwilling could make it to this year's Czech expo.

On 16 September 2022, I was driven to Czech in Zwilling's car from Vienna to Prague. If I'm not mistaken, it was a 5 hour drive including some breaks in between. Zwilling was really tired driving the long distance, so she parked the car at the Czech border and we slept there for the night with the windows open (natural air conditioning since the weather is cool).

atttta, Zwilling, and I settled down and assembled the layout that took us 5 hours to assemble.

This is the final layout. I provided most of the gimmick rails, Zwilling contributed the normal blue rails and some piers, atttta contributed more normal blue rails and some scenic parts like the trees and tunnels. One might already notice that the layout of the monorail line is different from the original specifications. We removed one 2/3 rail and one pier.

We also lined the boxes on top for extra villainy.

Here we have both types of Skyliners, waiting at the airport. All other participating vehicles are also shown.

Altough C58 and 弁慶号 are not running due to non-functioning motors and height problems, there are only photographs and no videos.

According to Zwilling, TGV Atlantiques are the favourite vehicles of the Czech Expo. Fact: Some TGV Atlantiques are getting scrapped, while the others are refurbished into InOUI liveries. We decided to design a scrapyard for the scrapped TGVs.

The monument of eternal friendship between Vio and Zwilling. Many things happened over the past 2 years, so we decided to make a memory for the challenges we went through as two good friends.

Conclusion: I would like to express my gratitude again to atttta, Zwilling, and all the other Czech expo admins for hosting the event and allowing me to participate in such a rare event like this.
